    Any individual, team or organization from Greater Victoria or with a connection to this region can be nominated for a Greater Victoria Sports Award.

    Please tell us why your nominee is deserving. Winners will be chosen by the GVSA Selection/Nomination Committee who will consider every public nomination received.

    This award recognizes a female athlete (amateur or professional, 19 years of age or older, from Greater Victoria) for exceptional athletic achievements. This category includes athletes with a disability.

    Submission based on the accomplishments of the athlete during the period of January 2023 to February 2024 inclusive. Nomination can be for a singular or multiple sport accomplishment with their school and/or club systems. Includes athletes with a disability.

Consideration will be given to those nominees with coach certification relevant to the nomination.

Includes athletes with a disability. Provide proof of Indigenous ancestry including letter of confirmation and status number.

    Award Description

    This award is in honour of Pat Hall, a member of the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame. This award recognizes an individual who has contributed their time in an extraordinary way to sport over a long period of time and/or has made a major contribution to amateur sport in Greater Victoria. Posthumous awards are not accepted.

    Award Description

    This award is in honour of John & Marilyn Bate, long-time champions of sport in Greater Victoria. This award recognizes the sports organization or school that made a significant difference for athletes in Greater Victoria. An organization or school which has worked to create access and opportunities for participation in sport or which inspires or motivates through their own collective vision.
