Today, I am grateful for SO many things. To make it easier, I have written a list of 10 things I’m grateful for:
1. The amazing spiritual teachers that have taught me and helped me along my journey to come to where I am today. Including 📿🌈Dante Singh 🌈📿.
2. The town I was born in, Media, PA which is “America’s First Fair Trade Town”.🙏
3. The exhilarating spiritual expos that I have attended, especially the Mind, Body Spirit Expo in 2015 where I had my first 🔮Akashic Energy Healing Experience.🎆
4. Burning Man! I went to BM in 2016, and it was a place where I felt like I could truly be myself. 👅👽😇🐸🌬I even had a mystical experience with the Ascended Master Babaji.🙏
5.💸These two teachers, Jillian Anderson and Christie Marie Sheldon, which teach courses on connecting spirituality with creating a life of prosperity and abundance!💸I highly recommend the course Permission to Prosper (which is catered towards Goddesses), and Unlimited Abundance which is for all beings!💸
6. Kombucha! It’s seriously one of my favorite drinks, and I feel that it uplifts me each time I drink it❕
7. My family… Sometimes I feel like the Black Sheep of the family. Sometimes I wonder, why can’t all of my family members be spiritual healers? And sometimes I wish they were more like-minded to me. But, when I zoom out and look from a higher perspective, I appreciate the love and care they give me, as well as the contrast & opportunity to expand into my TRUE SELF that they give to me. The opportunity to express myself to those that may have a different viewpoint. I am on my own path and I trust that!
8. 💸🤑💸Money! Yes, I use the word money because I’m consistently creating my Love Love relationship with money and currency!⚡(and Bitcoin in the future). If you’re curious about Bitcoin and other digital currencies, you can join Coinbase, the world’s most popular way to buy and sell bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin, using my invitation link here.⚡
9. 🌎🌍🌏I’m grateful that I have had the chance to travel to Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. I’m grateful that one day I may be able to travel to Antarctica and Australia. 🌏🌍🌎
10. I’m grateful for live music (especially electronic & healing music), and the power it has to bring people together for a shared experience. 🍯❤💛💚💙💜🎶 Some of my current favorites are Deya Dova, Lum, and Source Vibrations. 👁
I am an Usui/ Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher & Sound Healer and I practice at two locations in Philadelphia. Reiki By Victoria is my facebook page. I also am practicing my skills for doing Readings and Healing in the Akashic Records. I was grateful to give a presentation called How To Raise Your Vibration with Reiki and Sound at a festival called Gratitude Migration last weekend.
I am also very interested in Sacred Plant Medicines, and the potential for using Psychedelic Medicines in Psychotherapy. I attended the Psychedelic Science Conference hosted by MAPS in Oakland in April.
I have always been inspired to help the world and aim for world peace. My hometown, Media, PA is “America’s First Fair Trade Town”, so in high school, I was a part of the town’s Fair Trade Committee and also worked to make my high school meet the requirements to become a Fair Trade High School. I went to Drexel University to study Music Industry, and when I was a senior, I received my first Akashic healing and began to learn Reiki. I started to realize that in order to heal the world we must first heal ourselves.
But of course, I am still interested in being a conscious consumer and possibly joining these two aspects of my work together. I am interested in B Corporations and becoming an Impact Investor. I currently use the apps Acorns and Stash to Invest.
I am also currently searching for a new job to help support me as I continue to grow my own healing practice. All within the new paradigm of ease, pleasure, and flow.
My goals are to change/heal and improve my relationship with money. I am very inspired by Jillian Anderson because I also used to and maybe do still have a few inner conflicts about having money and being spiritual. I want to be financially abundant and stable so that I can live independently. My vision for myself is to become a well-known and well-respected expert in the field of Sound Healing. I will be creating recordings and videos and live therapeutic sound healing performances.
My heart sings out to you, and I acknowledge you for making the journey to live here on planet Earth.
Life is magical.
My intention for writing these words is for you to feel a sense of deep relaxation, connection, and love.
As I type this, I am connecting to my spirit guides, and the Masters, Teachers and Loved Ones of the Akashic Records.
I ask you now to envision if you had an imaginary friend, what would they look like?
Even if you don’t see anything right now, you can still feel the presence of the light beings, guardian angels and loved ones surrounding you. I have been inspired by the notion of imaginary friends that we had when we were young, and the connection to spirit guides that we see as adults, and seeing how they are interconnected. If you have any insight or ideas about this, I would love to see your comment below!
When we are young, we know that we are all God’s children and we are connected to Source. If you feel triggered or put off by the word God, I understand. But maybe you still feel that there is something greater than yourself, like a web of energy that connects everything in existence, in the entire Universe together.
If you want to know for yourself, that you are an infinite being, it is very possible. The flexible Akasha is your playground, and there are infinite paths for you to arrive at that realization.
Of course, places like Burning Man and transformational festivals are nests for learning and connecting to the infinite. But the key is to take what we’ve learned and find ways to create sacred space in everyday life.
How can we do this?
Of course, meditation, Kundalini yoga, Ayahuasca ceremonies, playing in nature and finding like minded friends are all great ideas. As they say, your vibe attracts your tribe. Opening your Akashic Records or giving yourself Reiki while floating in a float tank is also a great way to connect with your own Divinity, Higher Self and soul’s purpose on Earth. Halcyon Floats is one of my favorite places to go when I want to feel a sense of Heaven on Earth. If you live in Philadelphia, or truly anywhere, and want to create safe spaces for healing, understanding, conscious community, transformation, I am whispering to you!
Through practice and patience, you can become a Reiki Master and what that means is that you master your own energy. The third level of Reiki (Reiki Master) is also called Shinpiden or “mystery teaching” which has been said to explore the mystery of God’s love.
If you are an empath, introvert, or highly sensitive person, I can relate to you! As a sensitive person, I feel that Reiki is and has been a great path and tool for navigating the waters of life. So if you feel excited, or inspired there are a few steps you can take. You can get personal guidance and healing with me 1 on 1 in a private session at Learn Reiki Philadelphia or the Healing Arts Collective. Or you can begin your Reiki journey by deciding to take a Holy Fire Reiki class with me (message me for more details). Or you can come out to the next Reiki Share at Healing Arts Collective on July 25th, to meet me and get a taste of what Reiki is like. So, with that being said, I thank you for taking the time to read this message and I am sending you love and healing energy right now!
When I was younger, I remember asking questions like, “If God exists, why do bad things happen on the planet?” And this is something that I still inquire about, although I do have an updated understanding and viewpoint based on my experiences since that time. Whatever name you want to call it, I have heard many accounts of this “place” that people go during Near Death Experiences.
A near-death experience (NDE) refers to personal experiences associated with impending death, encompassing multiple possible sensations including detachment from the body, feelings of levitation, total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the presence of a light.- AnitaMoorjani.com
If Heaven and Angels and all of these higher dimensional realms exist, then why don’t we just stay in Heaven, or this place that people go to during their NDE’s. I’m not sure “Heaven” is the right word, because of the human conceptions attached to it. But there is this place that has been talked about and I’m sure that you have felt the sense that something exists beyond this space-time continuum.
A recent episode of the Duncan Trussell Family Hour podcast features Dr. Raymond Moody; philosopher, psychologist, physician, and author, most widely known for his books about life after death and near-death experiences, a term that he coined in 1975.
As they were discussing the various cases of Near Death Experiences, some of the cases involved people describing being given the choice whether to stay in this heavenly experience or come back to their life on Earth. And most of them chose to come back.
So why would they choose that? Why are we really here when we could be floating in eternal heavenly bliss?
In the process of thinking through these questions, Dr. Raymond Moody brought up a quote; “God made man because he loves stories”- Elie Wiesel. In my version of the quote, it would probably be “God made humans because God/Source loves stories.” And if you think about it, what is your life but your story?
Then Duncan replied, “I love the idea, ok well God loves stories…and that’s beautiful… but then you’re like, ok God well how about you don’t get me to write the story about being in Auschwitz… how about you get me to write the story about being a wealthy prince with harem who becomes Buddha or something.” Coming back to this question of Why God why? Why do bad things happen to seemingly good people all of the time?
(At around 58 minutes) Raymond asked Duncan; “Let’s assume that tomorrow you went to the doctor and they diagnosed you with some terrible illness, not a fatal illness but some terrible infection that required for you to be isolated on a desert island all by yourself for 10 years. And they could take you out there in a cargo plane with all of the food and water and medicine you were going to need for 10 years. And there was room on the cargo plane for a DVD player and 2,000 DVDs. Now, let me ask you, would you choose all comedies??”
“Would you choose some tragedies too?”
“When you were watching the tragedy on that desert island would you be crying?”
“There you go”
I just wanted to put this out there as it’s been an anecdote that has inspired me to be more accepting and understanding of my current life situation and story. There is no doubt that everyone living this human experience will go through times of joy and times of pain. And I realized that my response to the hypothetical situation of being on a desert island and choosing to bring not only comedy DVDs but also tragedies would probably be the same as Duncan’s. In my daily life, I tend to focus on the positive and avoid anything negative because I know that what I think about and surround myself with, will affect my vibration and consciousness and will ultimately be co-created in my reality. But I also know that I have pain and what’s better than ignoring it is finding ways to express it. Movies and music are great ways to be moved to let out my tears and emotions. After I cry, I often feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
So this has really gotten me to look at my own story subjectively, and realize that the ups and downs are all a part of the oscillation of Source or God’s or even my Higher Self’s plan for my life. Because I also believe (although it’s hard to believe it some days), that I chose to come here and possibly even chose my family that I was born into. But the good news is that we are constantly presented with opportunities to make choices. From the minute we wake up in the morning to the second we go to sleep at night, we can choose to meditate or sing or go hug a tree, or if we are stuck in an office or a prison or a subway car, we can choose our thoughts and our vibrations. And even after we go to sleep, we could choose to explore the world of Lucid Dreaming, which I am becoming increasingly more interested in.
SO, my suggestion to you is to take a deep breath and go drink some Mugwort tea (which has been said to be good for lucid dreaming) and watch this video of Hang Massive playing the Hang:
So I have been tuning into the Unlimited Abundance program with Christie Marie Sheldon.
There are 24 common abundance blocks that Christie helps people to release or “delete, uncreate, and ‘destory’ across all time, space dimension and reality.” She has inspired me immensely from the first time I heard her voice. So I decided to purchase the Unlimited Abundance program and listening and re-listening to all of the recordings of the live group sessions. I can’t say I’ve hit my ultimate goal of where I want to be financially yet, but this program has definitely helped me to shift my mindset, which is setting the foundation for my future abundance. And I have already begun to see some of the fruits…
So the story goes:
I am working at Coda for a private Superbowl Party.
I remember having the thought, or visualization of someone handing me a 100 dollar bill as a tip- at one of my jobs. Maybe even this event specifically.
A man coming to get his jacket comes up and asks me “do you have change for a $100?”
I counted what I had in the tip jar and it was $55. He gave me the $100 and said keep the rest! So it wasn’t a $100 tip technically, but the thought/vision still came true in a way. So, $45 is a great tip for one coat! Then after that, I started racking in the $5s. Which was better than the usual $1 tips I get.
Sometimes I kiss my money and clear it’s energy.
To give you a taste of what I have been learning, some of the key points that Christie explains are:
Money is a neutral tool that can be used in different ways, and for different things in life. It is not good or bad, but it depends on what you do with it!
Having a plan is a good idea– to get you moving in the right direction– but not to be stuck or dead-set on the outcome. I recently bought The Inner Guide Planner for 2017 and it’s been helping me to gain clarity!
One of the modules “Clearing Indecision” also helped me greatly. It seems that for most of my life- Parents, Pre-School, Elementary school, High School Teachers, College Professors, bosses- have been authorities that I would look up to, try to please, and follow the rules and get good grades. But in reality, there is no right or wrong, and I am continuously learning to follow my intuition and inner guide.
Another thing she said was “There are wealthy and poor people in every profession- there are wealthy plumbers and poor plumbers, there are wealthy musicians and poor musicians.” One thing that many people ingrained into me was that “you can’t make money as a musician” which is just a negative detrimental belief. It is one thing to want fame at the level of Lady Gaga, but it is another thing to have a healthy, abundant life, affording food and a nice place to live and be a performing artist or musician.
I would often question whether I was making the right decisions. Feeling stuck. She also says that Source or God loves you unconditionally. There are no mistakes!
Another topic that I have been exploring in my life lately is that of “Satan” or “The Devil”. In New Age, spiritual, energy worker lingo, many people talk about “entities”. So I wondered if these were somehow connected to the “Devil” I had heard about growing up. When I was younger, I hated haunted houses and hayrides, and I wouldn’t go near the Halloween mask aisle in stores. This may be because I was taught as a Christian to be afraid of the Devil and a place called “Hell”. I was attracted to the book Positive Magic by Marion Weinstein because I wanted to move forward in my exploration of fearlessness in this life, as well as in other dimensions. I’ve always had a feeling that everything is ultimately good and pure at the Source. And since I’ve begun this healing journey, I understand that Love is truly greater than fear. But this book helped give me some intellectual stimulation to support these newfound beliefs.
Excerpts from “Positive Magic” by Marion Weinstein
Excerpts from “Positive Magic” by Marion Weinstein
“Satan is a Western Piscean Age phenomenon. In earlier pagan times including Greek, Roman and Egyptian, the gods were neither all good nor all bad. They were glorified human and/or animalistic personalities with special powers and recognizable failings. Osiris, the main pagan god of the underworld, was both admirable and vulnerable, the underworld over which he presided was not a bad, judgemental place, in fact, before the Piscean Age there was no “hell” and no “purgatory”.
And since there was no one good external God, there was no one bad external Anti-God.
Really examining all of these old, maybe unconscious beliefs and thought-forms which formed in my childhood is a beneficial thing! So back to the topic of entities and spirit attachments. I do believe that these things exist, although I’m still learning exactly what they really are and how to better work to clear them. Sometimes I feel that they can even just be lower emotions and thought forms that need to be released. Or maybe more that I have yet to learn. Here is one useful article from Reiki.org: Understanding and Releasing Spirit Attachments
Alexis Petrin has also been a part of this recent burst of inspiration in the direction of living my dreams and abundance in the present moment.
All Those “Shoulds”. All of those “shoulds” vanished when I finally heard the sound of my own VOICE
When I arrived at the Supernova Soiree; Sacred Voice Activation edition, there was a piece of paper that said “I WANT-” at the top. She told us to write down whatever we wanted, no matter if we thought it sounded impossible or if we had no idea how it could possibly come true. She explained that the only thing stopping these things from popping into your reality is that you haven’t yet claimed them yet. Once you claim it, it’s yours.
The first thing on my list was “To move to California.” This is something that I’ve wanted to do for years! Back in middle school, obsessed with skaters and people in bands, knowing that California was ‘the place to be’, shopping at Hollister, watching the Hills and Laguna Beach, I dreamed of living in sunny California where you could ski and go to the beach in the same month.
Now, I want to go there for many new and different reasons overall, but the long-held desire is still there. The hub of “transformational” & conscious music festivals like Lucidity, Symbiosis, Oregon Eclipse, Burning Man. My dream school for my Master’s Degree- California Institute of Integral Studies. The MAPS headquarters. Esalen. Joshua Tree and Mount Shasta. Many eco-villages. I am not even dead set on living in the state of California, but I know I feel called to move out west one day, to be in closer proximity to these things that spark my “breadcrumb trail of excitement” as Bentinho Massaro would say.
I came across this video Abundance & Relationship to Money: From Hippie to Happy – Bentinho Massaro which features the magical Dante. (Who, by the way, is hosting an upcoming Cacao Spirit Channeling Immersion in Philadelphia) And I can really relate to some of the things he went through with money. I especially loved the explanation of “hippies” being on the high horse because they are better than the rest of society, but down in the dirt because they are above money and other regular necessities. I really feel that I want to make a difference in the world, and sometimes that I am ‘different’ from most people, and feel like an outsider at times. I know that I truly want to live an abundant life of eating fruit and healthy raw vegan food every day, but sometimes I have these beliefs that creep in saying that I will be taking food away from others if I get to have all of the fruit I want-Since I don’t even live in an area where fruit is grown. I sometimes feel like, why do I deserve abundance when people are starving? Can anyone relate to this?Or have any advice to convince me that there is true abundance available to all people on Earth? (If so, Comment below!)
But I also feel the great beauty of all of life. And I know that the more I can tap into the frequency of abundance myself, the more joy, love, and abundance I can spread to others I meet along my journey.
For the longest time, many clients would ask me for feedback after the session. I would often say something very vague like “I felt a lot of energy in your chest”. Or even just “I’m not sure”. But recently I have been trusting my intuition and inner voice a lot more, as well as becoming more confident in the ability of reiki to channel and flow through me during a session. I have also been holding and working with my aqua aura crystal to aid in communication.
I would often hear more experienced healers talk about receiving messages or symbols. A teacher that I highly respect and admire is Danielle Stimpson of Learn Reiki Philadelphia. I most recently took her class Shamanic Reiki, where we learned some ways of using gentle, non-invasive Shamanic techniques that she received from her Guides, as well as created on her own based on her many years of training and experience. One of the other topics we touched on in the class was Symbols. We learned a few new symbols to practice on ourselves and others. For example, one of the symbols we talked about was from Seichim, and another was from the Magick of Reiki by Christopher Penczak. I know that the Reiki symbols are sacred and powerful, and I treat them with respect. And I knew that there were many other powerful magical symbols out there as well. One of the things that Danielle said that really made me feel empowered was “You can create your own symbols”. For a while, I didn’t really feel like any symbol of importance was there for me to draw. But still having this knowledge and empowerment in the back of my mind was beneficial.
So, during my most recent session for a female CEO, I was tuning into any thoughts or images that popped into my mind’s eye in the process. When I got to her left hip, I saw a clear symbol that I had never seen before.
This is, pretty much, what the symbol looked like. When I brought this up at the end of the session, it turned out to relevant to what the client was going through in her life. I described the symbol and she said “Hm, kind of like ovaries?” and I said “yes!” I said that it seemed to represent feminine/ female power. Working in a male-dominated field, she said she could use a dose of this in her life, as I’m sure many women could, in the few months since the recent election. This symbol appearing to me served as a gateway to having a meaningful healing conversation with my client after the session. I later realized that this also happened on International Women’s Day, which made the symbol feel very serendipitous and synchronistic. I can’t guarantee that new symbols will pop up every time I give a reiki session, but this turned out to be pretty magnificent, and I would love for it to happen again in the future!
I just watched this video and I agree with mostly everything that the video recommends!
The one part that I questioned was; “If other thoughts come up, simply brush them aside, bringing attention back to the Reiki energy.”
During my Level 1 class, my teacher said not to worry if you start to daydream or if your mind wanders during a session. He said that sometimes these can be the best sessions! My other teacher has said that it’s fine if your mind wanders, as long as you’re not thinking “I wish I wasn’t giving reiki right now” or something along those lines.
I find that when I am giving a reiki session, I will usually have thoughts about my own personal life. Sometimes my general outlook on life and my current circumstances will improve while I am giving. But I also think that I am keeping a certain level of awareness towards the fact that I am giving reiki, and intending reiki to flow. When I start thinking too much I do try to let go of those types of controlling or worrisome thoughts and refocus on the present moment. I usually find that the distance reiki symbol (HSZSN) helps me with this.
The other important thing to note is that thoughts and intentions do affect physical matter. This has been proven by the research of Dr. Masaru Emoto. He passed away in 2014 but his research and inspiration live on. More information can be found on his website: MasaruEmoto.net
With all of this proof, it seems that thoughts and visualizations may be able to affect a client during a reiki session if they are directed strongly enough. So I do agree with the video that focusing on reiki does help increase the effectiveness of a session. But as I continue to practice being able to clear my mind and meditate and visualize, I know that there’s no need to worry about thoughts popping up, or letting my mind wander during a session.
So fellow reiki practitioners, what do you think? Does it matter what you think about while giving reiki? What has been your experience?
If you are looking to step up your spiritual game or enhance your energetic vibration in 2017, well you’ve come to the right place! As a Reiki Master Teacher, I’m always looking for ways to cleanse and clear my energy, as well as grow and change spiritually.
1. Learn Reiki (Holy Fire)
Reiki is an excellent way to gain a greater understanding of your own personal “energy”, aura or electromagnetic field and how you interact with the world. For me, it has been an empowering journey. I’m continuing my training by taking a Holy Fire II Reiki ART/Master Class this February!
Like anything, you receive what you are open to receiving. Floating can be a transcendent experience if you are in the right state of mind and are open to letting go. My favorite place to float in Philly is Halcyon Floats. I’ve also been thinking about what it would be like to receive energy work from a distance, while floating. If anyone would like to try it out, let me know! Or if you happen to read this and then go book a float, say you heard it here first and mention my name 😉
3. Ayahuasca Ceremony
My first time drinking Ayahuasca was a life changing experience. It’s hard to truly put the experience into words, but what I can say is that I believe that it has powerful healing potential. Similar to what I mentioned in the post above, “you get what you give.” Your Ayahuasca experience may depend on the amount of work you put in to prepare before the ceremony, as well as integrate afterwards. It was challenging, difficult, scary, beautiful, life-affirming, death-affirming, humbling and enlightening. This really deserves a whole separate post which I will begin writing soon.
4. Ajna Light
This highly effective tool uses very powerful photonic light stimulation to induce the same rhythmic brainwaves states seen in advanced meditation practitioners.
I tried the Ajna Light when I was at Symbiosis Gathering 2015. During this experience I had very vivid and powerful visions… but my friend using the same machine said she didn’t see anything. This spurred me to want to use my reiki skills to guide people into deeper states with the assistance of this machine. In 2017, I would love to find another Ajna Light and receive a session, and eventually save up to purchase my own light.
5. Juice Cleanse
I have only begun to realize the benefits juice fasting within the past year. The basic idea is that by consuming a diet of healthy liquids, you give your stomach a break from breaking down fibers. With less time spent breaking down fibers, it has more time to cleanse and detoxify. There are many versions of fasting- including consuming only water, air, or liquids. My first juice cleanse was inspired by Alan Pratt and The Monthly 3-Day Cleanse Community on facebook.
“You can do a juice fast, a smoothie diet, go raw/vegan for 3 days, abstain from coffee/dairy/wheat/meat/sugar/etc for 3 days – whatever game works for you!”- AlanPratt.net
I was already on a plant-based diet, and the fact that he made it so open-ended encouraged me to participate. I’m pretty sure I ended up eating maybe a banana and a vegetable in addition to my juice. But that is a huge start to becoming more conscious of what I put into my temple! Starting next Monday, I will be participating in a 7 Day Fruit Fast Challenge, consuming only raw fruit.
I remember the first time I encountered Orgone at the Mind Body Spirit Expo in 2015, from the vendors Orgone Paradise. I held my hand over the objects and could feel the difference in frequency. I bought that first piece and have been in love ever since! I even made a few of my own pieces of orgone last summer, but I wasn’t careful and got some resin in my eye. I was eager to try again so I made a pyramid 2 weeks ago.
“Ormus, often referred to as ORME (Orbitally Rearranged Monatomic Element or M-state element), is made from water and other substances and is also known as monoatomic gold.”- Be Well Buzz “What is Ormus?”
Basically it’s a magical elixir to help you become a health superstar and alchemist. Ormus is still a bit mysterious to me, but it was one of those things that my intuition or my gut feeling drew me towards.
8. Travel to Oregon Eclipse
Kevin KoChen, one of the founders of Symbiosis Gathering and Oregon Eclipse believes that Music Festivals Can Help Bridge the Donald Trump Era’s Divides. But Oregon Eclipse isn’t your standard music festival. This special gathering is centered around the fact that there will be a total solar eclipse visible from Oregon in August. The event is also a collaboration between many festival organizers and producers from around the world! One of the prominent genres at the festival; Psychedelic Trance, is one of my favorite types of music to listen to these days.
9. White Tantric Yoga
A one day meditation workshop, including plenty of eye-gazing. One of my other goals is to study and explore Tantra in general. I have had one significant tantric love making experience in the past. And a few others as well. But this workshop is not about sex.
Using the diagonal energy, the Mahan Tantric Yogi Bhajan, connects his subtle body to the subtle bodies of the participants through the course facilitator. This works the same way as a worldwide telephone system that relies on satellites and electromagnetic energy in order to connect two parties. – WhiteTantricYoga.com
10. Practice Breathwork
Breathwork is conscious control of the breath in order to influence mental, emotional and physical states. You may be familiar with Ujjayi or Kapalabhati, Breath of Fire from yoga class- these were my first introductions to breathwork. But what I am talking about here is more of a practice in itself, that can also be done under the guidance of a facilitator.
I previously wrote about my first Breathwork experience with Michelle of Pushing Beauty. I had an emotional, transformative experience which you can read about in this previous post. But I’m also curious to experience different types of Breathwork, including the well known Holotropic Breathwork™ taught by Stanislav Grof. He will be teaching a Holotropic Breathwork™ workshop at the upcoming Psychedelic Science Conference in Oakland this April- which I am super excited about!
“The process itself uses very simple means: it combines accelerated breathing with evocative music in a special set and setting.” Holotropic.com
So, over the past four weeks, I have been lucky enough to work with Estelle of Florescit Reiki & Life Coaching. She has boosted me from a place of stagnant frustration and thinking small, to a place of taking action steps and feeling momentum in my life and career. I’ve been encouraged to look at different areas of my life, and how satisfied I am with each area in the Wheel of Life. These areas include, Relationships, Family, Career, Money, and more. I told Estelle that I felt like I needed a boost in my career, because I wasn’t where I knew I could be as a recent graduate of Drexel University.
Why take the time to think about your core values, and what is important to you? With this foundation of self knowledge and understanding, you can look back on your core values while making any sort of decision in life. You may be thinking, where do I even start?
So after about 3 weeks of working with Estelle, I saw an ad on facebook for a webinar on how to land the perfect job and the Limitless Career Lab. I attended the webinar and asked my angel cards as well as followed my intuition to determine whether to sign up for the complete course with Ashley Stahl. I took the leap and felt that no matter where it took me, I would be making huge strides of progress, based on the positive energy that Ashley was putting out to us as well has her expertise on the subject. I received an email from Ashley called How to Find More Energy in Your Life, and of course was fascinated since it had the word energy in the title. The article resonated heavily with some of the things I had already been going over with Estelle. In the article there is a handy PDF guide from Ashley International on Identifying Your Core Values. I’ve attached the link to the complete article for you here:
After the initial brainstorm session with my coach Estelle, and then a weeks of narrowing down my selections, I met with Estelle again to narrow down my selections even more. The process was thorough because Estelle asked me what the words really meant to me in my life. My homework was to write my 5 core values on index cards. I didn’t want to leave anything out, so luckily I was able to write brief descriptions on the back of the cards to give some extra detail.
Initially, my 5 values were Self-expression, Spirituality, Progressiveness/Growth, Wellness, and Self-Love. After a few days going over these cards, and after reading Ashley’s guide to Identifying Core Values, I decided that Community has always been an important aspect in my life. I grew up in a neighborhood where we shared brunches on Saturdays and Sundays with neighbors, and we were able to ask for a helping hand if need be. What this means to me in my life now is that I realize we are all in this together, aka I couldn’t survive on my own, and life is way more fun with friends! I came back the next week to ask Estelle if I could keep a 6th core value and she said of course! That’s the beauty of working with Estelle, as she really holds the space for you to have the freedom to express however you dream and envision your life to be and then guide it into a concise, real world focus. If you feel lost and confused, know you are not showing up to your full potential, or are just looking for some friendly guidance, I highly recommend Estelle!
I was selling singing bowls at The Mind Body Spirit Expo in April 2015, when I experienced my first metaphysical healing. I paid $40 for 1 minute, but it was well worth it. I thought about receiving the healing on my first day there, Saturday, but the healer, Art Gutkin, said, you have to be open to it, if you are skeptical it won’t work. As someone who had never experienced any kind of energy healing before, I was a bit skeptical or even scared. But I told him about the pain I had been experiencing in my back, and right shoulder, and he placed his hand on that spot. I could feel the energy streaming through my body, mind and consciousness. I let out some tears. And I could feel a sense of newness in my life.
Later in that same day, the lady I was working for received an energy healing from Mark Ingenito. After they were finished, he gave me a piece of black tourmaline, and said that I could hold it in my hand and say “Archangel Michael, please protect me from any and all negative energy”. That was the first time I had heard of Archangel Michael in the modern sense. He also said to me, “You know you have good energy, you should learn reiki!” And that’s where it all started.
I am still eager to learn more about the Akashic Records, but I haven’t found a teacher in the Philadelphia area.
“The Akashic records are a compendium of thoughts, events, and emotions encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the astral plane.”- Wikipedia
I’m also excited to announce that I will be taking the Usui/ Holy Fire II ART/ Reiki Master Teacher Certification at The Prana House in West Chester, PA on February 17th, 18th and 19th. The teacher of the course reached out to me through my website to let me know about the course, and I expressed my interest. Once I started reading more on the Reiki.Org website, I felt the Holy Fire energy coming to me as I was reading. Of course this was just the beginning, but it was a sure sign that I should sign up for the class!
“It is also apparent that the Holy Fire, once ignited in the student, continues to grow in strength and vibration, cleansing more deeply and healing and empowering in ever more powerful ways.”- William Lee Rand
