Tahara Ochoa Briggs
CISV Canada Youth Representative- CISV Canada
Passionate about making a positive impact, Tahara has worked to include environmental sustainability in all aspects of her life and community. In high school, she was President of the Environmental Club and received the graduate award recognizing a student with a passion for the environment.
Tahara has been involved in the peace education non-profit organization CISV Canada since she was 10 years old and has participated in numerous international programmes. She currently serves as the Chapter Development Officer and has previously held the position of National Junior Representative where she represented youth from across Canada at international conferences. She is also a member of CISV Canada’s Sustainability Committee and has helped implement strategies to decarbonize the organization.
Tahara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Human Rights from Concordia University. She currently serves as a Member of Parliament Constituency Assistant in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
